The Medical Laboratory Technician II performs a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic medical lab tests as requested by healthcare staff, preparing specimens for examination and operating automated laboratory instrumentation. This role also involves performing quality control and assurance procedures and accurately recording lab results in the specified system while adhering to all safety standards.
Candidates must possess an Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and have at least one year of clinical experience. Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent is required, and external candidates must complete the Career Ladder requirements within 90 days.
