The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care in Oncology and End of Life situations, working closely with the Palliative care team. Responsibilities include symptom management, medication administration, and handling oncological emergencies.
Candidates should be comfortable with patient care in an oncology setting and will receive training in chemotherapy administration after a period of acclimatization. No prior experience in hanging IV chemotherapy is required for the first 6 months to one year.

We work closely with our Palliative care team, whose office is located on R5. Oncology care ranges from, symptom management, radiation, Chemo (IV and oral), medication side effects and Oncological Emergencies. When starting on R5 you will not be required to hang IV chemo for the first 6 months to one year. When you become comfortable with the R5 population we will train you in chemo administration. We currently have a Full Time (36hr/wk) Night Shift position available. On-Call: Not Required Incentives: $10,000 Sign on bonus. Subject to tax withholdings and also prorated for any part time positions (additional terms and conditions apply). This is a bargaining union position.
