Good Shepherd Pet Hospital is a well-established veterinary clinic located just outside of Tampa in Odessa, FL. Founded by Bassem Deeb, our hospital is built on compassion, innovation, and personalized care that strengthens the human–animal bond. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a dependable and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

What you bring to the table

  • Prior experience as a Veterinary Assistant preferred (on-the-job training available for the right candidate)
  • Comfortable assisting with animal handling, restraint, and basic patient care
  • Willingness to learn clinical skills and support technicians and doctors
  • Reliable, adaptable, and able to work rotating Saturdays
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
  • Someone who shows up ready to help and contribute to a great culture

What you’ll do

  • Assist with patient restraint, exams, treatments, and basic procedures
  • Help prepare rooms, equipment, and patients for appointments and surgery
  • Support technicians and DVMs during procedures and daily workflow
  • Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, exam rooms, and equipment
  • Assist with client communication, patient check-ins, and discharge support
  • Learn and grow through mentorship and hands-on experience
