The Family Peer Advocate supports families and caregivers of children in the Youth and Family department by providing guidance and advocacy based on lived experience. They coordinate services, facilitate community referrals, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance family-driven practices.
A High School Diploma or GED is preferred. Candidates must obtain a Provisional Family Peer Advocate Credential within 12 months of hire and a full credential within 18 months thereafter.
Required Licensure/Certification Skills: Provisional Family Peer Advocate Credential (PFPA) must be obtained within 12 months of hire Family Peer Advocate Credential must be obtained within 18 months of receiving the Provisional Family Peer Advocate credential. EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. PAY RANGE: $18.25 - $24.00 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14607 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
