Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures while ensuring patient safety and high-quality diagnostic imaging. Assists radiologists with sterile procedures and maintains accurate patient records using departmental computer systems.
Requires an Associate Degree and ARRT certification in Radiography. Candidates must also hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and possess the ability to perform physical tasks in a clinical environment.
This position accurately applies ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, including skills required in performing a variety of technical procedures, resulting in the highest quality diagnostic radiograph, with the least amount of radiation exposure to the patient.
Certifications and Licensures
ARRT - Reg Radiologic Technologist Required Equivalent Experience - Effective 11/2020 - ARRT credentialed in Radiography (ARRT)(R) within one year of hire or transfer date. BLS - Basic Life Support Required Equivalent Experience - Within 1 month of hire or transfer
