The physical therapist assesses patients and develops multidisciplinary plans of care to provide rehabilitation services in inpatient or outpatient settings. They also provide patient and family education while coordinating care with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
Candidates must hold at least a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution and possess a license to practice physical therapy in Ohio or be eligible for licensure. Successful completion of an accredited clinical internship is required, and one year of medical setting experience is preferred.
Minimum of Baccalaureate Degree. All academic degrees must have been granted from an accredited institution. License to practice physical therapy in the state of Ohio or current eligibility to take the licensure examination. Successful completion of an accredited physical therapy school clinical internship is necessary. One-year's experience working in a medical setting is preferred for all professionals hired.
