Perform and assist with a variety of echocardiographic tests under limited supervision to ensure high-quality diagnostic studies. Participate in routine laboratory procedures including transesophageal echo, stress echo, and structural heart disease cases.
Requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Health Care and graduation from an accredited ultrasound school. Candidates must hold RCS by CCI or RDCS by ARDMS certification and have at least one year of previous echo experience.
Performs and assists with a variety of echocardiographic tests and other related duties, working under limited supervision to ensure high quality diagnostic studies. Reports to the manager of Non-Invasive Cardiology Services/ Manager of Echo Lab or Office/Practice Manager. Produce echocardiograms that satisfy the laboratory protocols for standard transthoracic imaging and for special conditions including valvular heart disease, stress echocardiography, 3D echocardiography and strain imaging. Identify studies which require vetting for appropriateness. Recognizes true cardiac emergencies, including cardiac tamponade, aortic dissection, and acute valvular regurgitation. Uses contrast for appropriate indications Participates fully in all the routine procedures within the laboratory, including transesophageal echo, stress echo, and structural heart disease cases where applicable. Performs other duties as assigned
Associates/Bachelor's Degree in Health Care. One year previous echo experience. Graduation from an accredited ultrasound school Two years echo experience in a hospital setting preferred RCS by CCI or RDCS by ARDMS We take great care of careers.
