The counselor will facilitate daily living activities, community meetings, and provide evidence-based individual, group, and family counseling. They are also responsible for preparing treatment plans, maintaining case records, and providing psychosocial interventions to support patient recovery.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) certification. A minimum of two years of experience in a behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment program is required.

You will have responsibilities including but not limited to: Provides individual counseling and treatment/recovery plan preparation, monitoring and review Facilitates activities of daily living, community meetings, engagement, carrying out treatment planning in milieu Provide therapeutic interactions to foster patients social, cognitive and behavioral skill development Provide supervision of milieu staff Provide psychosocial interventions to teach skills for coping with urges, craving, impulsive behavior and cognitive distortions in thinking, motivational interviewing techniques Provide individual, group and family counseling Provide multi-family group counseling Plan and facilitate interactions with residents within the milieu to build social, emotional, and behavioral functioning Assisting in supervision of activities related to establishing a treatment environment Prepare and maintain case records Assist in the medication room in case of emergency.
