The MET Nurse is responsible for responding to critical situations and medical emergencies across adult non-critical care units. They utilize the nursing process to provide safe, therapeutic care while making independent clinical judgments under established protocols.
Candidates must hold a current RN license in West Virginia and possess at least 2 years of critical care experience. Required certifications include ACLS and CPR, with an expectation to achieve instructor status within 12 months of hire.
Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a MET Registered Nurse for our Sepsis Program.
The Medical Emergency Team (MET) Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for responding to calls and critical situations or concerns on all adult non-critical care units. The MET Nurse will utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) to delegate, coordinate and provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to patients/families. This individual makes independent judgments/decisions and takes action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient issues, operating under guidelines of the Adult Rapid Response/Code Blue Protocols.
The shift will be determined by each hiring manager. The pay rate will be determined in accordance with the labor agreement.
