The Mental Health Technician provides continuous patient care, supervision, and role modeling as part of a treatment team. They work under the direction of the Direct Care Supervisor to support patients ranging from late childhood to late adolescence.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a degree in a therapeutic field preferred. Candidates should have two years of related experience and must obtain CPR, First Aid, and HWC certifications.
The Mental Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from late childhood through late adolescence depending on which unit worked. Mental Health Technicians work under the direction of the Direct Care Supervisor. Non-exempt position.
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic field is preferred.
