Pharmacy technicians assist licensed pharmacists in providing healthcare and medications to patients. They are responsible for ordering, stocking, packaging, and compounding medications.
Candidates must have a high school degree or equivalent and 1-3 years of experience. National certification by PTCB or NHA is required, with sterile compounding and IV certification preferred.
Pharmacy technicians assist and support licensed pharmacists in providing health care and medications to patients. Pharmacy technicians must have a broad knowledge of pharmacy practice, and be skilled in the techniques required to order, stock, package, and compound and otherwise prepare medications.
