The Medical Technologist provides clinical laboratory services to patients under the supervision of the Director of Laboratory Services. They ensure all testing is performed in accordance with accepted practices and hospital standards of care.
Candidates must hold at least an Associate Degree and possess MT (ASCP or AMT) certification or equivalent. The role requires the ability to perform high complexity testing and adherence to unit-specific competencies.
Under the general supervision of the Director of Laboratory Services and the direct supervision of a Medical Technologist Coordinator, the Medical Technologist provides clinical laboratory services to patients in accordance with accepted practices and Departmental and Hospital standards of care.
