The Coder III is responsible for reviewing medical records in their entirety to accurately assign ICD-CM, PCS, and CPT codes. They must ensure all coding is completed in a timely manner while meeting quality and turnaround time expectations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and professional coding credentials such as CCS, CIC, COC, or RHIT. A minimum of one to three years of experience in an acute healthcare setting is required, along with proficiency in medical terminology and EMR systems.

Under the supervision of the HIS IP Coding Reimbursement/Coordination, the Coder III is responsible for reviewing the medical record in its entirety, apply coding guidelines and regulations and assign ICD-CM and/or PCS and CPT diagnoses and procedures codes accurately and timely. Consistently meet/exceed turnaround times and quality expectations.
Work Hours: 8:30AM-5PM Weekend Requirements:
