The clinical medical assistant will perform patient rooming, allergy testing, and assist providers with exams while maintaining electronic medical records. Additionally, the role involves clerical tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing telephone triage, and handling prior authorizations.
Candidates must be a registered or certified clinical medical assistant. The role requires adherence to healthcare regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, and bloodborne pathogen safety standards.
Rooming patients.
Preparing patients for exams.
Allergy skin testing, spirometry, and other testing requested by Physician/Provider.
Obtaining vitals and patient histories.
Assisting Physician/s and/or Extender/s with exams.
Monitoring, cleaning, stocking exam rooms.
Cleaning patient waiting area.
Documentation of electronic medical record data.
Other duties as necessary/assigned.
Clerical duties may include: Scheduling patients for appointments and ancillaries,
Telephone interactions.
Telephone triage.
Prior authorizations and pre-certifications.
Assisting with Supply orders.
Other duties as assigned/necessary.
As expected with all healthcare positions, must adhere to HIPAA/OSHA/BLOODBORNE PATHOGEN regulations and maintain associated workplace trainings.
