The Behavioral Health Professional provides individual and group psychotherapy to justice-involved individuals while developing and monitoring individualized treatment and recovery plans. They collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support members in community reintegration, social functioning, and employment readiness.
The role requires the ability to facilitate group sessions and perform clinical assessments within an intensive outpatient setting. Candidates must maintain accurate documentation and hold the necessary licensure to practice as a therapist.

About the Position: – Behavioral Health Professional
New Freedom’s Behavioral Health Professional (Therapist) performs a variety of therapeutic services to provide psychological care to members receiving treatment. This treatment includes a focus on various behavioral challenges such as substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, post-incarceration syndrome, and co-occurring behavioral health needs. The BHP works collaboratively with all members of the treatment team including the members and family. The level of care for the program is Intensive Outpatient Services, with specific curriculum and program design.
