Requirements summary

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality, resident-centered nursing care through the consistent application of the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN collaborates closely with residents and families, as well as interdisciplinary team members, including providers, to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans that promote optimal health and well-being. This role provides comprehensive nursing care across all phases of prevention, health maintenance, treatment, and rehabilitation, while ensuring adherence to all applicable standards, policies, and regulations.
The RN may serve as charge nurse and is responsible for the appropriate delegation of tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel, ensuring that assignments align with staff competencies, resident needs, and scope of practice. The RN provides oversight, guidance, and support to ensure the safe and effective delivery of care and timely resolution of concerns.
The RN practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, applicable state and federal regulations, and the standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements. This role exemplifies professionalism, clinical competence, and compassionate leadership in promoting resident safety, dignity, and quality of life within the long-term care setting.
Qualifications
Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
