The Central Processing Tech is responsible for the cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment. They also manage case cart preparation, inventory duties, and ensure all sterilization parameters are met before equipment use.
Candidates must obtain Central Processing Certification from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) within one year of their hire date. The role requires the ability to perform technical tasks related to instrument processing and equipment maintenance.
