Provide peer-based support to youth experiencing behavioral health crises by modeling recovery and resilience. Assist in crisis de-escalation, stabilization, and help youth navigate the crisis center environment as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain an Idaho Peer Support Specialist Certificate and an Optum Idaho Youth Peer Support Endorsement. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with the ability to pass background checks.

Clarvida is seeking Youth Peer Support Specialists to support young people experiencing a behavioral health crisis at our Youth Behavioral Health Community Crisis Center. Youth in crisis require focused attention, skilled intervention, and compassionate guidance. In this role, you will use your lived experience to promote recovery, resiliency, self-advocacy, and empowerment. You will help youth understand their role in accessing services, become informed consumers of their care, and navigate the crisis center environment. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will use crisis-intervention skills to help de-escalate, stabilize, and support youth through immediate behavioral health needs. Not Yet Certified? If you are not yet certified as a Youth Peer Support Specialist through the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare, you may still apply. If you meet state requirements and are interested in becoming certified, please include a cover letter expressing your interest. Clarvida may assist with certification costs after hire.
