The Medical Assistant will assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care and manage patient flow in an orthopedic setting. They are also responsible for chart management and performing delegated medical and clerical tasks.
Candidates must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program and hold a relevant certification. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with demonstrated skills in venipuncture and CPR.
Responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care in Columbia. Responsible for chart management and patient flow of orthopedic patients. Performs delegated medical tasks and may perform clerical duties. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process; and other duties as assigned.
