About the role

The caregiver is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of adult clients with disabilities in a residential setting. Duties include assisting with daily living tasks, administering behavioral redirection, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Overview Grow with Homes for Independent Living as a Caregiver assisting 1-4 adult clients with behavioral, medical and/or physical disabilities in a residential home setting.

Ensure clients' safety, redirect behaviors, assist them with daily tasks, and be a positive influence, and a chaperone for fun events.

Responsibilities

Assure the health, safety, and well-being of all clients Administer positive behavioral redirection and promote positive coping skills Assist with daily living activities as needed based on care plans Assist with food preparation and cleaning as needed Maintain positive relationships with clients, guardians, and staff Complete daily logs and reports accurately We offer: Competitive hourly pay $17- $18.00 per hour, plus 2nd shift and weekend differential Set schedules with guaranteed hours, ability to pick up additional hours Full benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k plan, tuition reimbursement/student loan paydown programs, ESOP and more! 4 weeks of PTO every year $2,000 Referral Bonus Program Wage increases with experience Qualifications: Minimum 18 years of age Experience assisting clients with complex mental health needs (2+ years preferred) High level of integrity and very compassionate Ability to prioritize multiple duties and responsibilities Consent to background check, physical, and TB test (cost covered by HIL) Driver’s license with 3 years of clean driving record strongly preferred Homes for Independent Living (HIL) is Wisconsin’s LARGEST provider of customized care for adults with disabilities in small residential settings. Requirements

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a high level of integrity and compassion. Experience assisting clients with complex mental health needs is preferred, along with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
