Genesee Lake School (GLS), a MyPath Company, is seeking a Support Services Assistant to support student clothing, linen, and housekeeping needs across our campus and group home environments.

Job Summary: We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Support Services Assistant (SSA) to join our Clothing Services and Housekeeping team.
In this role, you will be assigned to a primary work area and support student clothing, linen, and/or housekeeping needs in accordance with agency and state standards.
Your work plays an essential behind-the-scenes role in maintaining clean, organized, and comfortable living and activity spaces that directly support student health, dignity, and daily routines.

Key Responsibilities: Clothing & Linen Services Launder, organize, label, and distribute student clothing, linens, towels, blankets, and related items by student and program area Measure students, issue appropriately sized and seasonal clothing, replace damaged or outgrown items, and support admissions, discharges, and special occasions Track linen and towel counts, maintain inventory levels, and assist with cleaning and organization within the Clothing Services Department Housekeeping & Facility Support Clean and disinfect assigned dorms, activity areas in accordance with housekeeping and sanitation standards Prepare bedrooms and living spaces for student admissions and discharges; ensure hygiene items, linens, and supplies are stocked Launder assigned items, report damaged equipment or furnishings, complete maintenance documentation, and communicate environmental concerns as needed Schedule Full Time, 5 days a week, flexibility to choose which 5 days.
8 hour shifts need to be between 5am and 3pm.
Occasional flexibility may be needed based on program events.

Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required One year of experience in clothing, linen, laundry, or housekeeping services in a commercial or institutional setting preferred Required Skills & Attributes: Ability to maintain a calm and effective demeanor in emergency and stressful situations. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Additional Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old. Must be able to stand, bend, reach, lift and walk for extended periods Ability to lift 30lbs regularly and up to 60lbs occasionally Ability to push or pull up to 50 lbs Comfort working in environments that may be noisy, warm, or involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and bodily fluids
