The MRI Technologist performs diagnostic scans according to established protocols and ensures patient safety within the MRI environment. They are responsible for starting IVs, monitoring patients, and maintaining accurate records of exams.
Candidates must hold a current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and obtain an RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential within 30 days of hire. Three years of technical MRI experience is preferred for this role.
Scans patients according to protocols and parameters with knowledge of troubleshooting MRI systems. Archives patient exams. Confidently starts IV's. Adapts to different MRI environments (1.5T MRI machines, 3T MRI machines, and MRI machines) in the operating rooms. Functions in different patient monitoring systems throughout the organization. Follows MRI safety guidelines according to organization policy. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above. Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills. Ability to provide care appropriate to the population served.
