The Advanced Medical Assistant performs essential clinical functions while assuming higher-level responsibilities such as medication ordering, safety initiative support, and serving as an Epic superuser. They also provide work guidance to the practice and coordinate specific clinical initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care.
Candidates must have a vocational or technical degree in Medical Assisting or a high school diploma with at least 3-4 years of relevant clinical experience. An approved Medical Assistant certification such as CMA, NCMA, RMA, CCMA, or NRCMA is required.
