About the Role

  • The Home Health Aide in Madison County plays a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their own homes, promoting their independence and well-being.

Job responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements and assist with feeding if necessary.Provide medication reminders and monitor clients for any changes in health or behavior.Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment.Document care provided and communicate regularly with healthcare providers and family members to ensure continuity of care.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program.Certification as a Home Health Aide where required by state regulations.Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to client homes.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working as a Home Health Aide or in a related caregiving role.CPR and First Aid certification.Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation systems.Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.Additional training in specialized care areas such as dementia or chronic disease management.
