Job responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.Provide mobility assistance including transferring and repositioning clients to prevent bedsores and promote circulation.Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare supervisors promptly.Administer medication reminders and assist with prescribed therapeutic exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ mental and emotional well-being.Document care provided and maintain accurate records in compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program.Certification as a Home Health Aide or equivalent credential as required by local regulations.Ability to pass background checks and health screenings.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to client homes in Anderson.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care settings.CPR and First Aid certification.Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.Additional training in specialized care areas such as dementia or chronic disease management.
