Job Summary

The Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) provides professional substance use disorder (SUD) assessment, treatment planning, counseling, and case management services to individuals struggling with alcohol and drug use. The LADC delivers both individual and group counseling, utilizing evidence-based practices to support clients in developing coping skills, building recovery capital, and achieving long-term sobriety. This role also includes maintaining accurate clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, coordinating referrals to community resources, and promoting a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive substance use disorder (SUD) assessments, screenings, and make appropriate recommendations. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams. Provide care coordination support across the continuum, ensuring that clients experience effective transitions in care. Facilitate educational groups focused on relapse prevention, coping skills, and healthy lifestyle choices. Support clients in setting recovery goals and developing strategies to achieve and maintain sobriety. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g., HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2) in the electronic health record (CREDIBLE). Participate in Range Treatment Center multidisciplinary case staff meetings. Cross train in other SUD programs across Range Treatment Center, including residential, outpatient, adolescent, and detox/withdrawal management programs. Ensure compliance with licensing board standards, agency policies, and ethical guidelines Represent Range Mental Health Center and assume other functions and duties as assigned by supervisor. Act as a liaison to other Range Mental Health Center programs and outside agencies with regards to Chemical Dependency services and illnesses, ensuring well-coordinated client care
