The Surgical Technologist serves as a member of the surgical team, preparing and maintaining equipment, instruments, and supplies for procedures. They provide direct intra-operative patient care and ensure the operating room suite remains safe, clean, and compliant with standards.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED and a current certification from an accredited Surgical Technology program. At least one year of experience in a healthcare or military medical setting is required.

Functional Role (not inclusive of titles or advancement career progression) Tech / Support III – skilled: Licensed or certified role (direct healthcare) that supports the total peri-operative process; Provides intra-operative patient care to patients as directed by the Director of Nursing / Medical Director / Quality Committee(s); Anticipates surgeon’s needs in the use of medical supplies, instrumentation & equipment availability & readiness; Maintains a safe & clean operating room suite; Assists & / or ensures documentation & detailed records are kept; Performs essential duties & techniques appropriate to role / function / procedure; Participates in quality improvement processes; May serve as a resource (lead), role model & / or mentor.
