The Registered Nurse provides care for outpatient IV infusions and manages pre-sedation, intra-procedural, and recovery care for medical imaging and minor procedures. They operate within the Day Medicine unit and Sedation Suite, caring for approximately 650 patients monthly.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with at least one year of nursing experience and hold PALS and BLS certifications. A BSN and previous experience in pediatric nursing are preferred.
Day Medicine performs single or ongoing outpatient IV infusions for many medical conditions. Day Medicine also services all of the needs for pre-sedation and anesthesia preparation, intra-procedural care and subsequent sedation / anesthesia recovery for all Medical Imaging diagnostic studies and interventional procedures as well as minor procedures occurring outside of the operating room, emergency room and intensive care environments. The average length of stay varies by procedure from only minutes to 8 or more hours.
This position is full-time, 30 hours per week, varying shifts.
