The Peer Recovery Coach engages and facilitates meaningful conversations to assist members in meeting their recovery goals. They also provide consultation to the team and respond to critical situations using high-level de-escalation skills.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Peer Certification, including the Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification for California. One year of experience supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges is required, along with a valid driver's license.

The Peer Recovery Coach I engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members served that assist the members to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. Peer Recovery Coaches provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS) in which each member’s point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self-help programming. Additionally, Peer Recovery Coaches respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills which support a least restrictive environment for members served experiencing an emergency related to a mental health/addiction challenge.
Expected starting wage range is $24.59 - $29.64. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Canyon Vista is a 57 unit transitional and permanent supportive housing (PSH) program serving adults in San Mateo County with serious mental illness. Telecare will provide onsite case management, housing stabilization and rehabilitative services to tenants living in transitional and PSH units. Services onsite will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
