The Medical Laboratory Technician performs laboratory testing on patient specimens and maintains accurate records of performance. They also assist with procedure development and operate specialized analyzers to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in a related science or an associate degree in an approved Medical Laboratory Technician program. Certification is required within 12 months for those with an associate degree.

In addition to IU Health, laboratory testing services are provided to hospitals and physicians across the country.
