The pharmacist is responsible for interpreting, compounding, and dispensing medications to inpatients while ensuring accuracy and safety. They must review orders for incompatibilities, maintain controlled drug records, and collaborate with prescribers to resolve discrepancies.
A Bachelor of Pharmacy and a current New York State Pharmacist license are required. Candidates must have 1-3 years of relevant professional experience.
Interprets, compounds and dispenses medications and other pharmaceutical supplies, using standard physical and chemical procedures to fill written prescriptions issued by physicians, and other qualified prescribers. Enters drug orders into computer profile.
