Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures to provide safe and effective care. Oversees the application of sterile and aseptic technique and assures that equipment functions properly. Ensures operating suite/procedure room is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitor PAR level of all surgical instruments and necessary supplies within the department. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments, scopes and equipment per recommended guidelines and practices. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
