Utilize lived experience with behavioral health services to provide peer support and guidance to guests in crisis. Facilitate recovery-oriented groups, assist with intake processes, and advocate for guests' access to healthcare services.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and lived experience with the mental health system. Preferred qualifications include a peer specialist certification and experience in a behavioral health setting.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE · A respect for, and high level of comfort around people experiencing mental health crisis Have lived experience with the mental health system and willingness to share personal experience appropriately and respectfully Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent (GED) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Work experience in a behavioral health or related setting, preferably using the recovery model Graduate of core peer specialist training program, preferred but not required at immediate hire. Must obtain within probation period.
