The role involves managing individualized, goal-directed nursing care for geriatric psychiatric patients using the nursing process. Responsibilities include ongoing physical and psychological assessments and acting as a clinical resource for other staff members.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Rhode Island license and BLS certification. Previous experience in geriatric psychiatry and hospital settings is preferred, and CPI training is required within one year of employment.

Under the direction of the nurse manager, manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing, in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
EDUCATION Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. EXPERIENCE Previous Geriatric Psych exp pref; Previous hospital exp pref LICENSURE Current RI License BLS required CPI training within 1 yr of employment SPECIAL SKILLS Previous geriatric psychiatric experience preferred
