Radiology Tech -ARRT-R for Permanent Opportunity

• We are looking for a skilled and adaptable X-Ray Technician who is also able to perform duties as a Medical Assistant is a plus in our busy Family Practice/Urgent Care setting.
• The ideal candidate will have strong imaging expertise and the ability to assist with clinical tasks, providing comprehensive care to patients.
• This dual-role position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures ( X-Ray) and supporting the healthcare team with medical assistant responsibilities, ensuring smooth operation of the clinic and high-quality patient care.
• Hours are: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM No Weekends  Perform Diagnostic Imaging: Operate X-ray equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with prescribed guidelines.
• Ensure high-quality images for accurate diagnosis by physicians.  Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring their comfort, and answering any questions.
• Properly position patients for imaging while ensuring their safety and adherence to protocols.  Maintain Equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain X-ray equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and safely.
• Perform routine calibration and troubleshooting, reporting any issues to the appropriate staff.  Radiation Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, self, and staff.
• Ensure the use of protective measures (e.g., lead aprons) as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of radiation doses.  Imaging Documentation: Accurately document imaging procedures, including patient information, procedures performed, and any special considerations.
• Ensure timely and proper submission of images for physician review.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a formal radiologic technology program and certification (ARRT or equivalent) required. Medical Assistant certification or training is a plus. 
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostic imaging (CT and X-Ray) with proven expertise in operating imaging equipment. Experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical role is highly desirable. 
• Licenses/Certifications: Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). CPR and BLS certification required. Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required. 
