The PACU nurse is responsible for monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia, tracking vital signs, and assessing their level of consciousness. They also perform post-operative tasks such as administering medication, changing dressings, and educating families on home care.
Candidates must be graduates of a state-approved nursing program and hold a current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license. Proficiency in basic CPR, ACLS, and PALS is required, with critical care experience preferred.
Graduate of a State board approved program of Professional nursing. Holds a current Pennsylvania State License as a Registered Nurse. Critical Care experience preferred. Certified in basic CPR, ACLS, and PALS.
Maintains position specific skills, and competencies as required on annual basis.
Maintains CEU's appropriates to discipline in order to maintain Licensure.
