Conducts diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine examinations while ensuring proper preparation and administration of radioactive materials. Monitors patient conditions and performs equipment calibration and quality control measures according to established protocols.
Requires an Oregon Nuclear Medicine Technologist license and current Basic Life Support certification. Candidates must obtain national certification within six months of hire and possess relevant educational credentials.
Conducts Nuclear Medicine examinations for both diagnostic and therapeutic applications under physician supervision. Responsibilities include preparing patients, administering prescribed doses of radioactive and non-radioactive pharmaceuticals, performing precise calculations, and manipulating data in accordance with established protocols.
Ensures the proper preparation and ordering of radioactive materials, calibrates equipment, implements stringent quality control measures, monitors patient conditions, and performs additional assigned tasks.
