The Oncologist will diagnose and treat various cancers in animals by developing individualized treatment plans and performing surgical procedures. They will also collaborate with veterinary staff and educate pet owners on care options.
Candidates must hold a DVM or equivalent degree and have completed a residency in veterinary oncology. Board certification through the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine is preferred, along with a valid New York State veterinary license.

Conduct thorough examinations and diagnostic tests for cancer in animals Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients Perform surgical procedures related to oncology Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff for optimal patient care Educate pet owners about treatment options and care plans Stay updated with the latest advancements in veterinary oncology Participate in clinical research and contribute to the veterinary community Ensure compliance with all veterinary regulations and standards
DVM or equivalent veterinary degree Completion of a residency in veterinary oncology Strong clinical skills and knowledge in oncology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Compassionate approach to animal care and client interactions Board certification in veterinary oncology is preferred Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
