The Speech Language Pathologist develops and implements rehabilitation treatment plans for home health and hospice patients. They also provide education to patients and families while coordinating care with other home health staff.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in speech pathology and possess a valid California Speech Therapy license. A minimum of 2 years of recent relevant experience is required along with a valid driver's license and BLS certification.
EDUCATION Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. Master's in speech pathology from an educational institution accredited by the Education and Training Board of American Speech Language Hearing Association CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE ST-Speech Therapy for the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance DL-Valid Drivers License Class C or B AUTO-Automobile Insurance BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 2 years recent relevant experience SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Possesses the ability to organize, use time efficiently, and communicate well Demonstrates clinical assessment skills in area of expertise Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills Job Shift: Days Schedule: Full Time Shift Hours: 8 Days of the Week: Monday - Friday, Variable Weekend Requirements: As Needed Benefits: Yes Unions: Yes Position Status: Non-Exempt Weekly Hours: 40 Employee Status: Regular Employees of Sutter Health and its entities may handle hazardous drugs in the course of their work, including patient care, which requires them to manage, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drugs identified as hazardous or potentially hazardous by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and in accordance with the USP 800 guidelines. Pay Range is $53.75 to $72.19 / hour The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
