Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients in medical-surgical, ICU, and specialty units. Participate in interdisciplinary discussions regarding patient care and document clinical activities accurately in the electronic medical record.
Applicants must have at least one year of full-time neonatal intensive care unit experience and hold current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and BLS certification are also required.
We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist PRN to join our team in Waxahachie. Applicants must have at least 1 year of full-time neonatal intensive care unit experience with demonstrated competence in all gestational ages and MBSS competency for the ability to work both NICU and adults. Perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans and deliver skilled interventions for patients in medical-surgical, ICU, telemetry and specialty units Participate in interdisciplinary discussions and make recommendations regarding NPO status, diet levels and instrumental assessments Document timely and accurately in the electronic medical record per hospital and regulatory standards Completing patient/family and staff education related to communication, cognition and swallowing, as appropriate Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives within our team
Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience required. Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
