The GI/Endoscopy Technician supports and assists the gastroenterology specialist during exploratory procedures of the stomach, colon, and esophagus using endoscopes. This role also involves preparing the procedure room, troubleshooting, and maintaining the cleanliness of equipment and instrumentation.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with a minimum of six months of related experience. Completion of a surgical technology training program and CST certification are also preferred qualifications.

Reports to: Director, Surgical Services
The GI/Endoscopy Technician is responsible to support and assist the gastroenterology (GI) specialist while they use endoscopes to perform exploratory procedures of the stomach, colon and esophagus, including colonoscopy preparation and biopsy specimen collection. The functions of this role include preparing the procedure room; troubleshooting, and cleaning of equipment and instrumentation; stocking, ordering, and tracking supplies. Performs all other duties as assigned.
High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Minimum six months of related experience preferred. Completion of a surgical technology training program preferred. CST certification preferred.
