About the role

The Registered Nurse provides, oversees, and coordinates total nursing care for patients in collaboration with other healthcare providers. Responsibilities include performing emergency treatments, maintaining documentation, and ensuring patient safety in accordance with the RN scope of practice.

Description Memorial Community Health, Inc. in Aurora, NE is seeking to fill the position of Registered Nurse (RN) for our healthcare team at Memorial Hospital.

This position would be for full-time, night shifts.

There is a rotation of every third weekend night shift that is required.

This position provides, and performs oversight, delegation and coordination of total nursing care with other health care providers.

It also includes infection prevention duties.

Emergency room experience is preferred but not required to apply.

A hospital Registered Nurse provides and performs oversight, delegation and coordination of total nursing care with other health care providers to meet holistic needs of patients.

Job Duties: Utilizes the nursing process, for the performance of patient care, to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care to achieve prioritized patient outcomes according to the RN scope of practice.

Collaborates with health care providers to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care.

Provides patient care supervision.

Performs emergency treatment as required in accordance within the RN scope of practice.

Performs and maintains documentation.

Promotes and ensures patient and staff safety in all aspects of responsibilities.

Participates in MCHI committees, quality assurance, performance and quality improvement initiatives, and activities which support the facility and department operations Presents self in a professional manner and enhances professional growth and development through participation in education programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.

Follows HIPAA regulations and ensures that the confidentiality of patients’ medical, personal, financial records, employee records, and organizational records is maintained.

Complies, understands, and enforces state and federal regulatory requirements related to the performance of Memorial Community Health operations and requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA, the Code of Conduct, the Compliance Policy, Safety and Infection Control, all department and organization-wide policies, Critical Access Hospital requirements, and Federal and State of Nebraska regulations.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree in Nursing Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska Basic Life Support (BLS) required ER, Recovery Room, Charge nurses: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required ER and Charge Nurses: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required
