The Certified Medical Assistant performs patient care activities, including intake, discharge, and technical clinical procedures under the supervision of medical staff. They are responsible for documenting patient information in medical records and assisting providers during examinations and emergency situations.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Candidates must hold or obtain AAMA or AMT Medical Assistant certification within six months and maintain BCLS certification.

Under assessment and supervision of the Registered Nurse and according to established policies and procedures, performs patient care activities in order to assist health care providers in performing various technical / clinical procedures in the patient care area. Job requires knowledge, skill and ability to provide basic care for adult and geriatric patient population
