The Certified Medication Aide is responsible for dispensing medications, monitoring patients for adverse reactions, and recording administration according to agency procedures. They also assist nurses in providing care, maintaining patient comfort, and ensuring all tasks are performed in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Medication Aide Certification. Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills are required, along with the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods.
18.00 per hour
$2 from 6a-6p and 6p-6a.
Duties: and Responsibilities:

Dispense oral, inhalation and topical medications to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse unless otherwise allowed by state law.
Observe patients for drug reactions and report any problems to the nurses.
Performing tasks associated with medication administration, including patient vital signs, calculate medication dosages and stock the medication cart.
Recording medication administration according to agency procedure
Assists the nurse in providing care to clients, which includes observation and reporting of client needs
Recognizes and performs tasks according to the level of education and training

Performs tasks safely and effectively to assure client comfort and welfare

The Clinical Medical Authority coordinates with contract physician(s) and "other licensed medical professionals to maintain on site and/or on-call services.
