Provide direct personal care and assistance with activities of daily living for residents in an assisted living environment. Monitor resident health, assist with meals, and participate in resident-centered activity programs.
Must hold a current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA I) certification in North Carolina with no substantial findings. Requires the ability to lift at least 45 pounds and possess excellent communication skills for working with the elderly.

We are currently seeking a CNA who is interested in working weekends, either day (7a-3pm) or Evening (3p-11p) shift at our Assisted Living.

Provides personal care and assists with ADLs. Performs daily tidying and upkeep of the resident rooms. Provides assistance or guidance to residents for any/all appropriate activities. Monitors and reports any change in physical or mental health of the residents. Serves meals and assists residents during the dining activity. Delivers meal trays to residents who are unable to join us in the dining room. Participates in and assists with resident-centered activity program. Provides other personal services to residents under Supervisor In Charge direction. Under Title 10 NCAC 42D.1410 I 1-13, at least a CNA certification is needed to perform the following task Assist with feeding residents with swallowing difficulties Assist with gait training using assistive devices Assist with or perform range of motion exercises Empty and record drainage of catheter bag Bowel and bladder retraining to regain continence Collect urine and fecal specimens Use of physical or mechanical devices attached to or adjacent to the resident which restrict movement or access to one’s own body used to restrict movement or enable or enhance functional abilities Non-sterile dressing procedures Force and restrict fluids Care for non-infected pressure ulcers Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, routine height and weight Apply or assist with applying ace bandages, TEDs and binders for stable residents
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to operate office equipment, including but not limited to the copier and fax machines, and all appropriate nursing equipment. Must be able to work in a well-lighted, office area and/or neighborhood. May stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the workday. Must be able to lift at least 45 pounds. Must be able to read and write the English language. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience dealing with the elderly population.
High School diploma or GED preferred.
CNA: Must be a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA I)of an accredited program and possess a current nurse aide certificate for the state of North Carolina with no substantial findings.
CNA: At least have some experience in CNA work. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
