As an ICU Veterinary Technician, you will provide critical care and support to pets in an emergency setting. You will work collaboratively with a team of experienced professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
Requirements summary

VTS compensation is higher based on experience and specialty certification
Shift Differentials
Swings (4:00pm–11:59pm): +$2/hour
Overnights (6:00pm–6:00am): +$2.50/hour

Responsibilities
Provide nursing care and continuous monitoring for ICU and hospitalized patients
Obtain and record patient vitals, treatments, and assessments accurately
Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as directed
Assist doctors with diagnostics, emergency procedures, and treatment plans
Monitor anesthesia and sedation recovery as needed
Perform laboratory sample collection and patient restraint
Operate and support advanced monitoring equipment
Collaborate with ER, ICU, and Specialty teams to provide exceptional patient care
Communicate effectively with doctors, technicians, and client care teams
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment space
Qualifications
We’re looking for Veterinary Technicians who are passionate about emergency medicine, patient care, and teamwork.
Ideal candidates will have
Veterinary Technician experience in emergency, ICU, or specialty practice preferred
CVT, LVT, or RVT strongly preferred, but experienced non-credentialed technicians are encouraged to apply
Strong technical skills and confidence handling critical patients
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude with a collaborative, patient-focused approach
Ability to prioritize and adapt in emergency situations
Desire to continue learning and growing clinically
Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
