The hospice aide provides direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse, assisting with daily living activities and offering emotional support. They are also responsible for maintaining safety standards and effective communication with the interdisciplinary team.
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with basic reading and math skills. Basic Life Support certification is also necessary upon hire.
Provides direct patient care to Hospice of Cincinnati patients under the direction of a nurse. The hospice aide will assist with, and/or perform basic activities of daily living, including bathing, feeding, assistance with ambulation, etc., and will serve as a provider of companionship and emotional support, even during times of crisis. The position is responsible for knowing safety policies and following approved procedures. Job Requirements:
