The Clinical Staff Pharmacist performs medication order entry, reviews orders for therapeutic appropriateness, and manages pharmacy technicians. They also provide drug information to healthcare staff and participate in clinical programs to improve patient outcomes.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree and have at least one year of pharmacy experience. Required certifications include Texas State Board of Pharmacy licensure, sterile compounding (IV) certification, BLS, and ACLS.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required Education Bachelor's Degree - Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree Experience 1 year of pharmacy experience English (speaking, reading, writing) Licenses and Certifications Eligible for licensure by Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) is required Upon Hire Texas license with TSBP within 30 Days (ACPE-IV) STERILE COMPOUNDING (IV) CERT Sterile compounding (IV) certification accredited by ACPE Upon Hire (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT certification with course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Upon Hire ADV CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) will be required for inpatient positions within 180 Days Preferred Experience 1 year of inpatient, acute care pharmacy experience
