Job description

Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) – Certified Nurse Aide – Full time\n\n * 30-bed Intermediate Care Unit providing care for the following patients\n * Post Interventional\n * Electrophysiology pre- post procedures i.e. ablations, pacemakers\n * Respiratory Failure\n * High acuity patients with a strong focus on cardiac care\n * Functions as a step-down intermediate care unit meeting the acute care\n patient needs.\n * EKG Class, ACLS and residency classes are provided. \n * Individualized, comprehensive program with a primary preceptor.\n * A floating charge nurse for support on every shift 7 days a week\n * Full time (72 hours biweekly)\n * Shift: 12- hour night\n * Every third weekend\n * Eligible for shift and weekend differential\n\nPosition Function: The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) functions as an integral part\nof the patient care team by performing selected patient/resident care treatments\nand tasks as delegated by licensed nurses and is accountable for his/her own\naction in performing duties as assigned and for which he/she is trained.\n Included is recognition and understanding of the physical, cognitive and\npsychosocial changes unique to the age group served.
