The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care services within the scope of practice under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. They are responsible for meeting the psychosocial and physical needs of patients while adhering to EMTALA regulations and triage protocols.
Candidates must hold a current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse and possess a current BLS certificate. IV certification is required upon hire, and Blood Withdrawal certification is preferred.
The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family; Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Demonstrates knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. IV certification upon hire; Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification preferred.
